Belt-Type Tumble Blast Machine (Model DBT-200)
Designed for batch abrasive cleaning of the surfaces of metal parts, castings, forgings, stamped products, and other workpieces to remove scale, rust, molding sand residues, and process contaminants.
Main Advantages and Functions:
- All-Round Workpiece Treatment: During the cleaning process, the workpieces are continuously mixed and tumbled on the belt conveyor inside the blasting chamber, ensuring that the abrasive media reaches different surfaces of the workpieces.
- Intensive Shot Blasting: The blast wheel generates a high-velocity stream of abrasive media directed directly into the workpiece treatment zone.
- Uniform Cleaning: Continuous movement and tumbling of the workpieces inside the blasting chamber promotes uniform treatment of the external surfaces of complex-shaped parts.
- Batch Processing: The machine design allows simultaneous cleaning of a batch of small and medium-sized parts, reducing processing time compared with sequential cleaning of individual workpieces.
- Abrasive Media Recirculation: Used abrasive media is collected, separated from contaminants generated during the cleaning process, and returned to the blast wheel for reuse, providing a closed-loop abrasive circulation system.
- Surface Preparation: Shot blasting removes scale, corrosion, and other surface contaminants, preparing the workpieces for subsequent painting, application of protective coatings, or further technological operations.
Processing Sequence:
- Loading: The parts are loaded into the machine's blasting chamber and placed on the belt conveyor.
- Workpiece Tumbling: As the belt conveyor moves, the workpieces tumble and continuously change their position relative to the abrasive stream.
- Shot Blasting: The blast wheel directs a high-velocity stream of abrasive media onto the moving workpieces, cleaning their surfaces.
- Abrasive Media Recirculation: Used abrasive media enters the circulation system, where it is separated from cleaning debris and returned for reuse.
- Cycle Completion: Once the required degree of cleanliness has been achieved, the abrasive supply is stopped and the system removes residual abrasive media from the treatment zone.
- Unloading: The cleaned parts are unloaded from the blasting chamber and transferred to subsequent technological operations.
Processing Efficiency: The tumbling and continuous repositioning of the workpieces on the belt conveyor allows different surface areas to be treated within a single loading cycle and ensures stable cleaning quality throughout the entire batch.
